Redonculous Videos of the Week: Fence Glitches

More glitches from the guys over at NextGenUpdate.com. This one involves a friend, a fence and a vehicle. Get your friend to hang on the fence, hop in the car and slowly knock the fence over while your bud is hanging on it. The glitch should cause your friend to start spazzing out by bouncing up and down. Once you achieve this state, you can mess around and cause all sorts of weird things to happen.

Buying Clothes in Liberty City

One of the fun things about GTA IV, is that a player can customize Niko’s appearance in anyway that they wish.  This is done by visiting any of the clothes shops in Liberty City.  There are three stores that Niko can purchase clothing from: Modo, the Russian Shop and Perseus. If you kill the store clerks, you will not be able to buy clothes.  Firing a weapon inside clothing shops may trigger the robbery alarm and give you a warrant level.

Russian Shop: Generally inexpensive clothing for a casual look, this is the first shop that Niko encounters.  Items you can buy here include: track pants, jeans, sun glasses, fatigues, sneakers, boots, leather jackets, hinterland coats, flight jackets, spyde track tops, and a Russian hat.

Modo: Sells: chinos, blue jeans, striped shirts, moccasins, golf jackets, ski jackets, brown knits, silk shirts, and tennis shoes.

Perseus: Sells expensive clothing such as suits.  You will need to buy a suit eventually as a requirement for some missions.  They sell: expresso slacks, carbon suit slacks, Perseus charcoal suit and floral shirt, double breasted jacket in ebony and turtle neck with charcoal pants, loafers, perseus obsidian suits, Perseus charcoal suits, and the slate suit.

The Quick Weapon Switch

You may have noticed how slowly Niko switches weapons, and that it takes a long time to cycle through the weapons by only using left and right on the D-pad.  To avoid this, use the fast weapon switch by  holding down L1 and pressing either, up, down, left or right on the D-pad.

Pressing up on the D-pad will cycle between your rifle weapon, and your machinegun weapon.  Pressing left will switch to your pistol, and pressing left while holding L1 will switch to your grenade weapon.  Finally, if you press down on the D-pad, you will switch to your shotgun.

Redonculous GTA 4 Videos of the Week: MOAR GLITCHIN’

Remember the swimming on land video we posted awhile ago? Well the good guys over at the Demented Clan have posted a video of the how-to so that you can join in the glitchin’ fun. Grab a friend, get them to enter the vehicle, and punch them as they enter. It’s as simple as that. Try it for yourself!

Redonculous GTA 4 Videos of the Week: The Whirlpool

Heres a two-man required glitch in mulitplayer, that causes a “whirlpool-like effect” for all other players that can see you. While the glitch is rather strange, and doesn’t really offer any strategic game advantage in multiplayer, it still looks bad ass!

Check it out:

Play Like a Pro: Parrying and Disarming

To disarm an enemy, you must first dodge their attack with the weapon.  Simply by pressing X right as the enemy swings and Niko dodge the attack. Niko can also perform counter attacks after a successful dodge.  Pressing square or triangle after a dodge will make Niko perform a unique counter attack, which does heavy damage.

Be warned, jabs are extremely difficult – if not impossible to dodge.  Also be aware that Niko isn’t the only one who can block, as enemies are able to block Niko’s attacks as well.

Redonculous Videos of the Week: the Boarding Dock is for Girly Men

GTAstuds grab a helicopter and use it to land on the plane’s wing in-flight. Thats just how we roll. Heres the best attempt we’ve seen so far after some searching, of a player trying to land on a plane’s wing mid-flight in GTA 4. While it doesn’t appear to be possible to do because of the game’s physics engine – he almost made a believer out of us!

Buckle Up Safety First

Niko never uses his seat belt while cruising around Liberty City, creating chaos and general mayhem. This unfortunately results in Niko going airborne through the windshield if he hits any solid object like a cement block or a house, which is also followed by a rather horrifying scream. This can be extremely damaging to Niko’s health and may also result in Niko becoming an involuntary speed bump for other vehicles on the road.

Redonculous Videos of the Week: Getting on a Plane…the Hard Way

So you’re scouting the airport a bit one day and you may have thought to yourself: “how can I get onto the airplane before take-off?”  Well look no further, as this video demonstrates how you can get onto the plane’s wing before it takes off.  Simply grab a motorcycle, hit the ramp as the plane is turning for take-off and bam! you’re on the wing.  Now all we need is for someone to post a video of them successfully standing on the wing during take-off….can it be done?

Strip Clubs and Weapons Don’t Mix

Remember if your taking a friend to visit a strip club, to hide your weapons by switching to your fists before you enter.  Bouncers will immediately become hostile to you should you attempt to enter the club with a weapon drawn.  Bouncers will not use weapons against you, but they will attempt to beat you down with their fists.

If you are taking a friend out and the bouncers attack you, you will be asked to take them home – and will not recieve any increase in reputation with them as a result.
