Redonculous Videos of the Week: Shadow Boxing Glitch

Now here’s a weird game glitch.  A pedestrian gets stuck in a continous loop and begins to shove, spin around in circles and throw punches at the air, despite the fact that there is no one nearby him to fight.

Play Like a Pro: The Speedy Parked Car Theft

Sometimes in Liberty City you just don’t have time to waste.  The parked car theft animation that Niko performs is sometimes just too slow, and costly when your are being attacked.  Nothing is more painful to watch then when Niko is elbowing out a car window while the Cops take your life total from full to half.  You can counter this problem if your fast using this technique.

Use Free-look by holding L2 lightly, and shoot out the window of the parked car that you wish to steal.  Instead of performing the long “look around and elbow” animation, Niko will simply open the door and proceed on to hotwire the car.

Buying Ringtones

You can purchase new ring tones within GTA IV by going to any internet cafe.  On the main page, in Eyefind info services box click on the Ring Tones category to go to the “www.vipluxuryringtones.com”  Here you can buy different SFX ring tones, and new mp3 ring tones as well.  You may preview the song/SFX by pressing the microphone icon, and purchase the music by pressing the dollar sign.

Don’t forget, you can click on the “more” button below the ringtones to view more types of music available for purchase.  There is no limit to how many ringtones you can have on your phone, so buy them all!

Redonculous Videos of the Week: Bloopers, Glitches and Silly Stuff

Heres a great video from Machinima.com showcasing the GTA bloopers and strangeness that we’ve all come to know and love. The video is carefully crafted, with hilarious music that really fits the mood and situations.  Did we mention this video also has a firefighter gang beating?  Need we say more?

Redonculous Videos of the Week: Car Crash Mayhem

Today’s video is all about the car crashes and airborne madness that only GTA 4 could provide!  Some worthwhile crashes to watch are at 1:03, 2:13, 6:55 and 9:05.  This video demonstrates just how great Niko is at becoming a human pinball – takes some pretty heinous tumbles, but still manages to walk away from 95% of them!  That’s how we roll baby!

Cheat O’ the Day: Removing Your Wanted Level

*Remember, using cheats in GTA IV may disable certain achievements within the game, and you should not save your game if you wish to unlock them.*

Pesky cops on you again eh? Use this cheat to completely remove your wanted level.

Input the following number into the cellphone to activate the cheat: 267-555-0100. (Using this cheat blocks the “Walked Free” achievement.”)

Redonculous Videos of the Week: Online Street Racing

This video demonstrates the online racing aspect of GTA IV.  While the player gets off to a good start things go down hill shortly afterwards when the car goes airborne over an overpass railing.

Round 2 starts off  a lot better, and the player shows some pretty redonculous driving skills.  Things go well for awhile, until other player’s cars’ start catching fire – igniting each other one by one in a chain reaction of BOOMS.

Did You Know: Police Sirens….

If you are in any vehicle that has a siren (eg: a police cruiser, ambulance, etc) you can activate these sirens or shut them off by pressing the L3 button down.  If you hold the L3 button down in a police cruiser you will get a different sounding siren.

Emergency sirens will cause all vehicles in your path to move out of your way by pulling over to the right.  If you pass through a toll booth with the sirens on, you will not gain a warrant level and will not have to stop to pay the 5$ fee.

Redonculous Videos of the Week: Truck Train Nose Grind

So what happens when a truck hits a train head on?  Not what you would expect to happen thats what!  The final comment by the player sums the event up nicely. This video will prove to you that a truck can nose grind a moving train.

Tips and Tricks: The Wheelie

Everybody loves wheelies!  Niko can perform a wheelie on any motorcycle or scooter.  To do a wheelie simply hold down the accelerator button (R2) and hold the left analog stick backwards.  If you do not have enough speed while tilting too far back on the analog stick, it is possible to flip over backwards and crash the bike.

The more speed the bike has, the easier it is to maintain a full wheelie.  Use the wheelie to drive around Liberty City in style!
